The Devout Envoy - A Short Story

While revising The Virgin Dragon, I found a number of chapters that were focused on around this character of Aaron and how his adventures intersect with the characters of Iago and Dorian from past stories.

I decided that it made more sense to pull out those chapters and place them into a separate short story.

When Aaron is tasked by Vizier Iago to undertake a dangerous quest, he's both eager and apprehensive. As a Karadrian guard, he's used to facing danger, but this mission will take him on a journey that will force him to confront the demons of his past. Aaron must travel through treacherous terrain and battle dangerous foes to fulfill his duties, though he doesn't know for what purpose.

This dark fantasy short story explores themes of redemption and consequences. Readers will be swept up in the journey of a soldier seeking to do his duty and find a path to inner peace.

As the story is told independently, rather than as part of the main series, it doesn’t have an official number. However, I would recommend reading it after the fourth book. Otherwise you may find yourself being spoiled.

The Devout Envoy, is now available to purchase on the Amazon store.

Purchase "The Devout Envoy"

I’m excited for you to read it. What’s next? The fifth canonical book, The Feckless King, will be published in a few weeks.
