They finally reached the bottom, the last room in the lair. 

As soon as the members of the order stepped into the group, an invisible force rushed at them and hurled them into the wall. Then a cage of energy began to appear around them.

Where were they? Val looked around.

They seemed to have entered some sort of medical room. There were numerous surgical tools on the wall and various beds lined up underneath. There were signs of medical practices having been conducted, with pools of blood and body parts littering the floor.

Val finds himself inside a lair. It seems like some kind of mad scientist lives there. Yet where is the mad scientist? The place appears abandoned. You’ll need to read The Feckless King to find out what happens next.
