“We are sending you to a secret base we have in the straits, called Tortoise Cove. It’s been a prison we’ve been operating for a while now, to hold those who are too dangerous to be left on the mainland.”

“When do I leave?”

“Tomorrow morning.”

This ship docked at a small beach the next afternoon, with a tall stone cliff overlooking them. Dorian and two other soldiers escorted the five captured rebels off the ship and onto the sand. The five had their legs and arms chained to each other, to prevent them from escaping. They were led half a mile up a small sandy hill until they found the cove.

It was a freshwater cove, with black stones surrounding a shallow pool of clear water. A few small fish that swam away as their feet created ripples on the surface. They walked towards the entrance to a cavern. The cavern entrance was tall, and seemed to have smooth walls inside.
