“I’m tired. I’m going to sleep. It’s as simple as that. Don’t be a coward Julius,” Katla snapped.
Julius frowned and continued sitting by the dying fire. He was worn out, spending much of the day walking. His eyes were beginning to droop. Yet his brain tried its best to stay on alert.
Eventually he succumbed to his exhaustion and lay down on his side. With the fireflies watching over him, he didn’t feel quite so alone.
Julius is cursed and loses the ability to cast spells. As someone who grew up with an innate magical skill, he feels a deep sense of loneliness. Even at this point, on a quest with the sorceress Katla, he feels bad.
Does he ever manage to regain his magic? Find out in The Forgotten Hero.
