After being here for several months, Iago had enough. He ran out the door and into the courtyard, not knowing that there was a magical tripwire connected to the door that activated an alarm.
The gate was closed, locked in order to keep the students safe inside, or perhaps keeping them imprisoned. Iago was ready.
He jumped on the wall of the gate, putting his feet around one of the large metallic bars in order to start climbing it. As he started, he felt someone grab him and pull him down from the gate.
“Get down from there,” said Professor Khal. “What are you doing out past curfew?”
At an early age Iago is placed in a boarding school, where he feels scared and alone. He tries escaping but his attempt is thwarted by one of the professors. Although Iago does not succeed, what becomes of him as he continues to take classes? Find out in The Isolated Vizier.
