Albert climbed out of his alcove and walked over to the stream. Unfortunately it had frozen overnight, making the water inside unavailable.
His trek continued briefly until he suddenly felt the ground shake. He dropped to all fours and placed his ear to the ground. Never before had he experienced an earthquake. To his knowledge, they were quite rare amid the Grey Mountains.
His body stirred. What he was hearing wasn’t an earthquake. Or rather, it wasn’t a natural one. He could hear the sounds of footsteps marching in lockstep. It was an army.
Albert, a raccoon with the magical ability to speak, is adventuring on his own when he discovers something in the Grey Mountains. Whose footsteps are they? Who can he ask for help? Find out what happens next in The Forgotten Hero.
