Amidst the panic, Hérion ran for the door while the guard wasn't looking and escaped. He hoped the rest of them would be safe, but he wasn't going to be able to take care of them. He had to get home himself.
It was already nighttime and the streets were quiet, on account of the curfew. Torches were not being lit, so he only had the moonlight to help him navigate back home. Though he knew the layout of the neighborhood fairly well, he was afraid that he might be spotted by the guards.
Hérion finds himself in a lot of trouble, chased by guards through the city. At this point, he was afraid and alone. He knew he couldn’t keep going in this direction. He needed a change. What happens to him? You’ll need to read The Feckless King to find out.
