Hérion went out into the tundra alone. Soon Eruaphadion came into sight. Behind him were dozens of elves, much more than had been assembled when they first arrived in Bleakwynd. While there were a few in full armor and holding finely crafted swords, many more seemed to wear leather and held pitchforks and spades.
"Eruaphadion, I do not wish to have a conflict with you," Hérion called out.
"Hérion Weircatok, you have betrayed your promise!" came the reply.
"We have the same goals. We want the same things. Let's be rational about this."
"Rational? Your claim to rationality went out the door the moment that your fallen cousin broke the vow he made. And now you claim to defend yourself?"
Two opposing groups of elves face off in the midst of a frozen tundra. Eruaphadion and Hérion are unwilling to compromise, which is leading to a conflict. But who will win?
