“That’s correct. I’ve unlocked the secrets of nature,” she told him.
“I’ve come a long way, all the way from Fellanor, to Old Karad. I hope you don’t mind my skepticism.”
“Of course, it’s only natural that you should be skeptical. That is exactly why I have brought a demonstration.”
Her hands went to the back of her neck, unfastening a necklace that went through a hole in a small metal key. She grabbed the key and inserted it into a lock on the front of the box. She turned the key and lifted the lid.
Inside the box were several small vials laying haphazardly in the box. The liquids were a mix of colors: blue, green, pink, yellow, black.
