“It won’t be like that. I promise you. I’ll write to you everyday.”

“Promise?”

“Yes. I will find the time to write a letter. I’m doing this for us, and I don’t want you to think that I’ve abandoned you.”

“Hey, who’s that guy? Do you know him?”

Dorian looked down the hill and saw a man staring back at them. He had a leash that was connected to two small dogs. He didn’t know why this man was watching them. Should he say something, or ignore the man?

“I’ve never seen him before.”
