They walked through the portal and found themselves in a clearing in the woods. This was not like the normal woods. It was completely quiet, without even the sounds of bugs.

The moon was in a half phase, and stars were scattered across the sky. However, the stars did not seem to resemble any known constellations. They felt eerily isolated from the rest of the world.

Lucian sat on the floor in the center of the clearing. His eyes were closed and he was focused on meditating. As the adventurers came through the portal, Lucian came out of his meditation and stood up. He flashed a grim smile at the group.

“It looks like you’ve found me.”
