Dax grabbed his bow and walked back to a rock with a low height which he could duck behind.

“I can see it!” Raios called out, still standing in the open. “It’s so beautiful.”

The creature came out of the shadows and charged towards Raios.

“Get out of the way!” Dax ordered.

“I’ve never seen one so close before.”

The creature extended out its large wings, each one as tall as Raios. It flapped them slowly as it ran until it made a fateful leap which took it into the air.

Raios drew his sword but otherwise didn’t move.

Dax grabbed an arrow from his quiver and notched it in his bow. Thanks to the magical light, it was easy to spot its target. It wasn’t much wider than the tunnels, forcing it to fly in a cramped position overhead.

Dax, Raios, and other adventurers are in the depths of a cramped cavern when they encounter a wyvern. While not quite a dragon, this ferocious beast is the target of a contract they received. But who is giving them contracts to fight monsters?
