Dorian watched Keegan take Colleen’s hand and pull her up the stairs to the elevated platform at the edge of the pier. As they made their way to the center of the platform he saw the crowd applaud.

Colleen took the bottle from one of the sailors and said,

“On the authority granted to me by our minister, I hereby christen the L.E. Tobin.”

She pulled back her arm and turned her body towards the ship. The crowd continued to cheer as they watched her lunge the bottle in a high arc. It hit the front of the ship, close to the deck. As soon as it collided with the wood, the glass shattered. Tiny shards fell into the water.

Dorian heard the cheers start to grow quieter and he turned to the rest of the crowd. He saw a large number of them leaving the port. Now that the christening was complete there was no other reason to stick around.
