Winter stormed through Ernos, slowing down troop movements and delaying trades. Raios was able to spend that time relaxing and resting, as there was no work for King Edric to give them.
The king had more pressing matters than the war itself. His wife, Queen Dana, had just delivered her third child. It was a boy, whom Edric named Adhemar after his late father. His other children, Hera and Tidos, welcomed their new brother into the family with enthusiasm.
A slow period hits Ernos, giving the king a chance to spend time with his newborn. His royal family has grown a little larger, and there’s a chance to regroup and plan. Unfortunately it’s far from a chilly winter in real life.
But what will come as the next season springs up? With time to think about the next phase of the war, will their next campaign be successful? Find out in The Forgotten Hero.
