“Cobras are wild, didn’t you know that? When a card has a cobra, it can camouflage into any other suit,” Esther said.
“Are you serious?!” exclaimed Dorian.
“Sorry my friend. I wish you luck in the next hand, but luck does not appear to be with you,” Darius said with a smile.
“That’s not fair!” Dorian said angrily.
“Those are the rules. I didn’t make them up.”
“You’re all conspiring against me, aren’t you? Trying to make the foreigner look bad?”
“Dorian, we explained the rules to you at the start,” explained Esther. “You can’t blame us for not knowing them.”
Dorias felt cheated. He didn’t remember them saying any rules like that, and he felt his rage building.
He placed his hands under the table and, with a great push, turned the table over onto its side. Cards and coins flew into the air while the dealer was knocked to the ground. The pashas ducked and ran for cover.
Dorian is angry as he loses a game of cards. In his rage he knocks over the table. His wrath gets out of control as he forces the game to end. The terror he causes to the other players can be found in The Virgin Dragon, available to read now on Amazon.
